How does TroveJob work for job seekers?
You create one profile — your experience, skills, projects and what you're looking for — and reuse it for every application. Browse live openings on the jobs page, filter by role, location, remote or hybrid and salary, then apply in a click without re-typing your history. Every listing is posted directly by the hiring team, so there are no scraped or expired ads. After you apply, your dashboard shows where each application stands, from applied to interview to offer, and employers who like your profile can message you directly.
Is TroveJob free for candidates?
Yes. Everything on the candidate side is free and stays free: searching and applying to jobs, building your profile, the résumé builder with more than a hundred ATS-friendly templates, the ATS résumé checker, salary data and the application tracker. We don't charge job seekers, sell your profile to third parties, or gate any feature behind a paid tier. Employers pay to post and manage roles; that is how the platform is funded.
What does the ATS résumé checker actually check?
Applicant-tracking systems parse your résumé into fields before a recruiter sees it, and badly formatted files lose information on the way. The checker scores your résumé on the things those systems trip over: readable section headings, standard fonts, no text in images or tables, consistent dates, and whether the skills and titles in the job description appear in your résumé. You get a score and a specific list of fixes, so you can correct the file before you apply rather than wonder why you never heard back.
Can employers find me without me applying?
Only if you choose to be found. Your profile has a visibility setting: public profiles appear in the candidate directory and can be viewed by employers and search engines, while confidential profiles are hidden from the directory and from search and are only shared with a company when you apply to one of its roles. You can switch between the two at any time from your profile settings, and turning on 'open to work' signals to employers that you are actively looking.
Where does the salary data come from?
Two sources, both real: the pay ranges employers publish on their job posts, and the salary expectations candidates share on their profiles. We aggregate them by role and location and show the range only when there is enough data to be meaningful. We do not buy survey data or invent figures, so coverage grows as the platform does. The salary calculator is a plain conversion tool between hourly, weekly, monthly and annual pay and does not depend on the dataset.
How do I make my application stand out?
Three things matter most. First, a complete profile: employers see a completeness score, and profiles with a headline, work history, skills with proficiency levels and a résumé get shortlisted more often. Second, tailoring: run the job description through the ATS checker so your résumé uses the same language as the role. Third, answer the screening questions properly — many roles ask two or three, and thoughtful answers are the fastest way to move from 'new' to 'shortlisted' in the employer's pipeline.
